The renovation of the Cold Storage building required an innovative and cost-effective construction team to redevelop a historic building literally frozen for 80 years. Miller-Stauch's experience ensured the structural integrity of the historic building remained intact. Managing the entire renovation, Miller-Stauch created high-quality housing while staying within budget.

Miller-Stauch preserved the exterior in its original condition while adding 142 windows to the building. Creating a community feel was important to the team. By opening the center of the building, Miller-Stauch transformed the interior with an eight-story atrium. The open atrium reduced costs and maintained the structural integrity of the building. Lacking prior amenities, the modernized building now boasts a rooftop pool, recreation area, small store and indoor parking. Miller-Stauch's distinctive vision and dedicated team changed a historic, once frozen building into 224 apartment lofts.
